US
Launched in 2001, based
in New York City, curcioprojects maintains a unique program of
artists, projects and client services. The focus of curcioprojects
is primarily on the human condition from contemporary figurative
painting to experimental media. Artists represented by curcioprojects
form an eclectic group, from emerging to mid-career artists both
national and international. Projects include gallery and alternative
site exhibitions, art fairs, performances, benefits, multiples,
and special events. Client services are tailored to the needs
of collectors, galleries, non-profits, artists and to their related
event.
Robert
Curcio, principal of curcioprojects, created the organization
to consolidate his diversified projects (curating, writing, selling,
events, etc) and to represent a select group of artists. Curcio
most recently was a co-founder and a producer of the –scope
Art Fairs. He has 20 years of experience in both the for-profit
and non-profit art sectors and started his career as an exhibiting
artist who graduated from Tyler School of Art, Temple University.
As a curator in the early 90’s, he organized large themed
exhibits focusing on photography, sculpture and installation,
and new media. Curcio has written exhibition essays and for Artnews,
Cover, dart International, Sculpture, Tema Celeste and Zing magazine. |
